A new Business Incubator has opened for students of Forth Valley College and the University of Stirling who are keen to be their own boss.

The Incubator, located at Hilton House, Alloa, offers students free desk space, PC broadband and telephone facilities for up to a year. Student Enterprise Manager for the University of Stirling, Alasdair Gammack explains. “The facility has been set up to enable students to turn their ideas into a reality. We can help students take the first seeds of a business idea right through to startup and beyond – all we ask is that they are committed to giving it a go”

The first of the businesses to enter the Incubator are Blueprint Computing, offering friendly tuition in computing, as well as repairs and upgrades. Partner, Andi McGuiness is ecstatic. “It’s fantastic to be able to concentrate on getting the business up and running without the usual financial worries – we’re really lucky”.
